The Gala Concert of the second season of “Opera & Podium” took place in the Concert Hall of the University of Industrial Technologies and Design. Celebration and magic—this was the atmosphere in which the audience was immersed for two hours. The orchestra of the Saint Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory, conducted by Miras Nurzhanov, opened the evening with Glinka’s overture to Ruslan and Lyudmila. The subsequent opera excerpts performed by conservatory students followed one another, filling the hall with a fairy-tale atmosphere. The brilliant costumes, imaginative stage designs, and makeup of the performers, created by students of the University of Industrial Technologies and Design, beautifully complemented this enchanting musical evening. The audience applauded enthusiastically; the concert was vivid, mysterious, and magical.
